Make Your Big Entrance

In May of 2018, student filmmakers from around the world will gather to watch each other’s movies on the big screen and to find out whose film has won this year’s top awards at the UKCineFest 2018 Student Film Festival.
This year promises to be even more exciting as the festival opens its doors internationally, welcoming filmmakers from across the globe! In addition to showing student films and giving out awards the festival will be screening some of the best international short films from the Aesthetica Film Festival

If you are in education or still at school you can enter your short drama, animation, documentary or experimental film into our free to enter festival. Who knows, you may even find yourself going home with a trophy or two.

UK CineFest was created specifically for film-makers like you. It is a free to enter/free to attend film festival that gives you the opportunity to compete and network with other student film-makers.

Hosted at Middlesbrough College, the festival is a one-day event designed to discover and celebrate the work of talented, young filmmakers. This year, the event will take place on May 11th (All films must be submitted by noon on April 30th) in the Hazel Pearson Theatre, hosted by Middlesbrough College.
